So I'm already a little embarrassed by this post, but I thought later on it would be a moment worth remembering - and laughing about. A couple days ago, Nick and I were having one of those rare, one-on-one moments while Aspen napped and Toby was preoccupied with a toy. We were discussing how much we are looking forward to things slowing down in April. Nick's crazy school and rotating work schedule always seems to take it's toll on Toby. He likes structure and routine so the random schedule of Nick napping, working, and going to school has been rough on him. Thus, we've had lots of fun behavioral problems to work through - sometimes suffer through. Also, I think we all have a little cabin fever since one or both of the kids always seems to be sick.
"The end of April could not come sooner," I sighed.
"Well I'm doing mid-terms right now so we're half way there, Deb." Nick assured me.
Suddenly I shot up from my comfy, reclined position on the couch.
"Oh! I know the perfect theme song for our life right now!" I started laughing before I could even get the first word out.
"Oooh we're half-way there. Oooooo-OOh, livin' on a prayer! Take my hand, we'll make it I swear. Oooooo-OOH, livin' on a prayer!"
I could tell Nick was suppressing a laugh.
Finally he grinned, "Yeah something like that, Deb."

I can't even tell you how many times this song has run thru my head in the last week or so since I just hit 20 weeks. The 2nd half of pregnancy is harder for me (especially compared to the 1st half), so the line "livin' on a prayer" has been on my mind a lot lately - haha! Things are so much easier when there's an end in sight and it's nice to have something to look forward to. Here's hoping April comes soon :)
Ha ha, too funny. I've loved that song since 3rd grade! Can't wait for your craziness to be over.
